ABSTRACT
Three herds of water buffalo under three different forms of management were examined for the presence of bovine leukemia virus (BLV). The immunodiffusion test was used on 1197 samples of serum. The animals were divided into three groups Group I - herd composed only of water buffalo, Group II - herd composed of water buffalo and bovines with 46 per cent BLV infection and Group III - composed by water buffalo and bovines with 79 per cent BLV infection. The bubalines and bovines of groups II and III were managed in adjacent pastures with common use of instalations. No buffalo reated to the immunodiffusion test against the BLV
