ABSTRACT
We studied the sartorius muscle in golden lion tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia), in the adult man and in the human fetus. After dissection, we obtained the lenght, width and across section area being observed different values for studied parameters, and the most evident were found in Leontopithecus rosalia and in human fetuses. Probably, the differences in the samples are due to individual variations in locomotion presented by each one in relation to balance function and in the hindlimbs marches.
