ABSTRACT
Central nervous system infections caused by Listeria monocytogenes produce a wide range of clinical symptoms wich include cerebral abscesses, meningitis and nonmeningitic parenchymal cerebritis. A case study is presented of early listeriosis with signs of meningitis accompanied with septicemia and complicated with severe hydrocephalus.
