RESUMO
Os autores apresentam três casos de hipertrofia congênita do epitélio pigmentário retiniano, lesäo geralmente assintomática, achada durante exames oculares de rotina. A sua diferenciaçäo clínica com melanoma maligno da coróide é discutida assim como associaçäo com a síndrome de Gardner. Os autores ainda discutem os achados oftalmológicos e apresentam uma revisäo bibliográfica dessa condiçäo.
