RESUMEN
El término colecistitis aguda define la inflamación aguda de la pared de la vesícula biliar que puede producirse por obstrucción del conducto cístico por un cálculo, obstrucción maligna por colecistitis aguda acalculosa. Este trabajo tiene como finalidad realizar una revisión detallada de la patogenia anteriormente descrita, las manifestaciones clínicas caracterizadas por dolor en hipocondrio derecho y fiebre, diagnóstico, complicaciones y tratamiento, que puede ser médico o quirúrgico
