ABSTRACT
Osteopoikilosis is a relatively rare hereditary autosomal dominant sclerosing bone dysplasia. It is usually asymptomatic and the diagnosis is generally made incidentally from radiographs which show multiple sclerotic areas in periarticular osseous regions. The involvement is symmetrical, and favored locations are the phalanges, metatarsals, tarsal bones, ilium, femur, radio, and sacrum. The authors report a case of osteopoikilosis with clinical and radiological study of the patient and present a brief revision of the literature.
