Notou-se ótima reprodutibilidade inter-observadores./The objective was to identify carotid atheromas in 50 patients with coronariopathy confirmed by cineangiocoronariography. Two methods were used gray-scale B-mode ultrasonography associated to color Doppler and magnetic resonance imaging with tridimensional time-of-flight, T1 and T2 black-blood and fat sat black-blood. There was high incidence of carotid atherosclerosis in patients with coronariopathy in whom low degree of stenosis was predominant. There was no correlation among type of plaque ecogenicity by ultrasound and signal intensity by magnetic resonance imaging. Quality of magnetic resonance images was considered optimal. There was high interobserver reproductibility...
