Com o propósito de avaliar a SIRS nos pacientes submetidos à cirurgia cardíaca, foram analisadas as alterações nos níveis de citocinas sangüíneos e no lavado broncoalveolar de pacientes submetidos à revascularização do miocárdio (RM) com circulação extracorpórea (CEC) e a correlação com a função pulmonar, tempos de CEC e duração de cirurgia, tempo de permanência na UTI e tempo de internação hospitalar pós-operatória. Conclui-se que há aumento dos níveis de citocinas após a CEC no soro e no LBA, existe correlação entre o aumento dos níveis de citocinas e tempo de CEC, alterações na complacência pulmonar e tempo de extubação./The intention to evaluate SIRS on patients undergoing cardiac surgery, the modifications on cytokines levels were analysed in the blood and in the Broncoalveolar lavage (BAL) of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), and its relationship with pulmonary function, cardiopulmonary bypass (CBP) and surgical lastingness, length of time in intensive care unit (ICU) and in hospital after surgery. It was concluded that there was an amplification of cytokines values after CPB in serum and BAL, there is a relationship between cytokine levels augment and length of CPB, modifications on pulmonary compliance and time of mechanical ventilatory support...
