From 03/97 to 02/00 108 patients with prostate cancer were treated with radiotherapy (EBRT) and high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR-B). There were 2 groups for biochemical failure and complications low risk (GS<6, T1/T2a, initial PSA<10ng/ml) without or with neoadjuvant androgen deprivation, who were treated with 16Gy and high risk group, treated with 20Gy. The 5-year actuarial biochemical controls were 69.5 por cento and 75.3 por cento.Crude acute GI and GU morbidity G1-2 were seen in 18.5 por cento and 10.2 por cento of patients. Late GU morbidity G3 was seen in 4.6 por cento. We observed a relative low incidence of GU and GI acute and late morbidity, with acceptable bNED when treating prostate cancer with HDR-B and EBRT...
