RESUMO

Valor da tomografia por emissão de fóton simples na localização do foco epileptogênico em epilepsia focal temporal e extratemporal através da análise quantitativa voxel a voxel. Estudou-se 143 pacientes (67 fem) com epilepsia refratária. Foram realizados EEG, SPECT e RM para avaliação do foco epileptogênico, 60 foram submetidos à cirurgia. Objetivo: avaliar a análise de SPECT através do SPM comparando com a análise visual e com os demais métodos e resposta pós-operatória. A análise visual dos estudos de SPECT foi mais sensível na localização do foco, principalmente na epilepsia do lobo temporal.
