Valor da tomografia por emissão de fóton simples na localização do foco epileptogênico em epilepsia focal temporal e extratemporal através da análise quantitativa voxel a voxel. Estudou-se 143 pacientes (67 fem) com epilepsia refratária. Foram realizados EEG, SPECT e RM para avaliação do foco epileptogênico, 60 foram submetidos à cirurgia. Objetivo: avaliar a análise de SPECT através do SPM comparando com a análise visual e com os demais métodos e resposta pós-operatória. A análise visual dos estudos de SPECT foi mais sensível na localização do foco, principalmente na epilepsia do lobo temporal. Os estudos funcionais quando concordantes parecem predizer melhor resposta no pós-operatório / Value of the single photon emission computed tomography in the localization of the epileptogenic focus in temporal and extratemporal focal epilepsy through the quantitative analysis voxel based. 143 patients (67 fem) with refractory epilepsy were studied. EEG, SPECT, MRI were done for evaluation of epileptogenic focus, 60 had been submitted to the surgery. We evaluated the analysis of SPECT through SPM comparing with visual analysis and other methods and postoperative reply. Visual analysis of the SPECT studies was more sensible in the localization of the focus, mainly in temporal lobe epilepsy.
