RESUMO

Este artigo desenvolveu-se em torno de dois objetivos: apresentar as características primordiais das reformas laborais na América Latina; e indicar as características do mercado de trabalho contemporâneo, e os desafios para promover e institucionalizar direitos fundamentais, a fim de evitar a deterioração das condições de trabalho e renda para parte expressiva da força de trabalho.

ABSTRACT

This article has dual objectives: presenting the main characteristics of Latin American labor reform, and describing the current state of the labor market and the challenges of promoting and institutionalizing basic rights, in order to safeguard a large segment of the labor force from a deterioration in conditions and sliding wages.
