RESUMEN
Se realizó un trabajo descriptivo y transversal con 20 pacientes atendidos en la Clínica del estrés, del Centro de Salud Mental de Guisa, desde septiembre del 2004 a diciembre del 2005. Fue escogida una muestra aleatoria de 20 pacientes de un universo de 160 casos atendidos en dicha clínica en este período. Se aplicó entrevista individualizada, determinando las variables epidemiológicas y los síntomas. Encontramos un predominio del sexo femenino, en el grupo de edad de 46 a 60 años, fundamentalmente con síntomas somáticos como sudoraciones, taquicardia, nerviosismo, entre otros, seguido de decaimiento, insomnio, tristeza, ansiedad e intento suicida. Se realizaron 3 intervenciones en la primera se recolectaron los datos, en la segunda se les brindó un grupo de técnicas complementarias de reflexión y relajación y en la 3ra se evaluó la evolución de los casos. Tuvieron gran aceptación los folletos de reflexión que se debatieron, refirieron mejoría 18 pacientes(AU)
ABSTRACT
A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 20 patients seen in the Stress Clinic of the Mental Health Center of Guisa municipality from September 2004 to December 2005. 20 patients of a cohort of 120 cases treated in this clinic over this period were selected at random. Individual interviews were made to determine the epidemiological variables and symptoms. There was a predominance of females in the group aged 46-60, who presented mainly somatic symptoms, followed by weakness, insomnia, sadness, anxiety, and suicide attempts. Three interventions were performed in the first, data were collected; in the second, we provided them with a series of complementary techniques of reflection and relaxation; and in the third, the case evolution was assessed. The reflection booklets were discussed and very well accepted. Improvement was attained in18 patients(AU)
