RESUMO
Este estudio ha investigado las relaciones entre los rasgos de personalidad y auto concepto. Fueron aplicadas la Escala de Traços de Personahdade para Crianças y la Escala de Autoconceito Infanto-Juvenil en 389 ninos, con edad de 8 a 10 años de escuelas públicas y particulares. Se han hallado diferencias de sexo para casi todas las medidas hechas. Para los varones ha sido observado coirelaciones positivas entre extroversión y auto conceptos escolar y familiar, neuroticismo y psicoticismo con auto conceptos personal y social, y sociabilidad con auto concepto familiar; y correlaciones negativas entre extroversion y auto concepto social, psicoticismo y auto concepto familiar, y sociabilidad y auto concepto personal. Para las niñas fueron observadas correlaciones positivas entre el auto concepto social y psicoticismo y sociabilidac.l con el familiar y corielactones negativas entre extroversion y el social, psicoticismo y neuroticismo con el familiar. Los análisis de los grupos extremos confirmaron los datos encontrados.
ABSTRACT
This study investigated the relationship of the personality traits to self concept. The Escala de Traços de Personalidade para Crianças and Escala de Autoconceito Infanto-Juvenil were administered to 389 children aged from 8 to 10 years, attending at public and private schools. Almost every measure done was differentiated by gender. For the boys, the positive correlations found were between extraversion and scholar and familiar self concept, neuroticism and psychoticism with personal and social self concept, and sociability with familiar self concept. The negative correlations found were between extraversion and social self concept, psychoticism and familiar self concept, and sociability with personal self concept. For the girls, positively correlations between the social self concept and psychoticism and sociability with familiar self concept were emerged. Negative correlations were revealed between extraversion trait and social self concept, psychoticism and neuroticism traits correlated with familiar. The contrasting group’s analyses confirmed the found data.
