RESUMEN
Se realiza una aproximación a una realidad compleja la lectura. Se trata la lectura en el contexto de la sociedad posindustrial, así como los aportes de esta y la inteligencia emocional a la construcción de la identidad y la cultura. Finalmente, se define la actividad de promoción de la lectura y su lugar en la actividad bibliotecaria.
ABSTRACT
An approach is made to a complex reality reading. It is dealt with in the context of the post-industrial society. The contributions of reading and emotional intelligence to the construction of identity and culture are also exposed. Finally, the reading promotion activities are defined as well as their role in the library activity.
