Consulta de anestesia vs valoración preanestésica del paciente hipertenso / Anesthetic visit versus pre-anesthetic evaluation of the hypertensive patient

RESUMEN

Introducción. La consulta de anestesia forma parte de la atención preoperatoria del paciente quirúrgico y constituye un elemento importante para mejorar la calidad asistencial, la consulta externa de anestesiología especializada en la valoración preoperatoria del paciente quirúrgico portador de hipertensión arterial se traduce en paciente tratado y compensado el día de la cirugía con disminución de complicaciones. Objetivo. Conocer la importancia de la consulta de anestesia y de la evaluación preanestésica del paciente hipertenso. Desarrollo. Se realizó una revisión actualizada de la literatura sobre el tema y se señalaron las particularidades de la consulta externa preoperatoria realizada por un anestesiólogo, las ventajas de la valoración preanestésica del paciente hipertenso sus características y elementos esenciales. Conclusiones. El anestesiólogo realiza una valoración integral en consulta preoperatoria, que favorece la estabilidad hemodinámica en el perioperatorio y disminución de la morbimortalidad anestésica, desempeñando la relación médico paciente un papel esencial.

ABSTRACT

The anesthesia visit constitutes the preoperative attention of the surgical patient and constitutes an important element to improve the assistencial quality, the external consultation of anesthesiology specialized in the preoperative evaluation of the surgical patient of carrier of arterial hypertension means patient treated and compensated the day of the operation with decrease of complications. Objective: Our purpose is to know the importance of the anesthesia visit and the pre-anesthetic evaluation of the hypertensive patient. Development An updated review of literature on the subject was done and the particularitities of the preoperative external visit performed by an anesthesiologist were indicated, the advantages of the pre-anesthetic evaluation of the hypertensive patient, their essential characteristics and elements. Conclusions: The anesthesiologist makes an integrated evaluation in the preoperative visit that favors the homodynamic stability in the perioperative period and the decrease in the anesthetic morbimortality, being the medico-patient role very essential.
