ABSTRACT
The liver diaseases presented in association with pregnancy may or may not be related with it. They may be proper pregnancy diseases, which can occur concomitantly with or prior to it. It is significantly important in a general multidisciplinary hospital like ours that obstetricians, clinicians, gastroenterologists as well as intensive care workers among other specialties may know the management of diverse situations that can be faced and which the appropriate behavior to be followed, benefitting both mother and fetus. A detailed bibliographic review of this relevant theme is presented in two sections hoping to be useful in daily clinical practice.
