Uso del tratamiento homeopático en pacientes pediátricos diagnosticados con Asma Bronquial / Use of the homeopathic treatment in paediatric patients diagnosed with bronchial asthma

RESUMEN

El Asma Bronquial es una enfermedad crónica frecuente en la población infantil y para la cual existen diversas terapéuticas. Las complicaciones más frecuentes son la infecciones respiratorias, sobre todo las neumonías. La Homeopatía es una modalidad terapéutica, estructurada por el médico alemán Samuel Hahnemann, y ha sido utilizada como tratamiento de esta afección con éxito, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. En el presente estudio se ha aplicado terapéutica homeopática a 150 niños con el diagnóstico de Asma Bronquial. Se tomaron 150 niños con el diagnóstico de Asma Bronquial sin proceso infeccioso asociado, el cual constituyó el grupo de estudio, también se tomó un grupo de 250 niños con el diagnóstico de Asma Bronquial sin proceso infeccioso asociado, pero con la terapéutica antiasmática convencional, lo que constituyó el grupo control. Al grupo de estudio se le administró un complejo formado por Dulcamara 30 CH, Ipecacuana 30 CH y Silicea Terra 30 CH, administrándose 15 gotas en Método Plus, tres veces al día, diario durante 60 meses, realizándose los complementarios de laboratorio para evaluar la respuesta inflamatoria y alérgica en ambos grupos. Se tomó una muestra inicial antes y cada tres meses después de iniciado el tratamiento. Esto demuestra que los resultados obtenidos son comparables a los del grupo control, lo que hace factible el uso de la terapéutica homeopática en pacientes asmáticos pediátricos, por su efectividad, accesibilidad, tolerancia, ausencia de reacciones colaterales y economía.

ABSTRACT

Bronchial asthma is a chronic frequent disease among pediatric population for which t6here are different therapies. The most frequent complications are respiratory infections, pneumonia above all. Homeopathy is a therapeutic modality, structured by the German doctor Samuel Hahnemann, and has been used successfully as treatment for this affection, in our country and abroad. In the present study the homeopathic therapy was applied to 150 children with the diagnosis of bronchial asthma. The study group was formed of 150 children with the diagnosis of bronchial asthma without associated infection processes, and a control group of 250 with a diagnosis of bronchial asthma without associated infectious process, but on conventional antiasthmatic therapy. The control group received a complex formed by Dulcamara (30 CH), Ipecacuana (30 CH) and Silicea Terra (30 CH). They received daily 15 drops in Plus Method, three times a day during 60 months. In both groups we made complementary laboratory studies to evaluate allergic and inflammatory answers. We take a sample at the starting point and every three months after beginning the treatment. The obtained results were processed by media comparative test for matching samples, for a confidence interval of a=0.05; the regression method was applied too. When we compared the obtained results in both, control and study groups, we found a marked symptom diminution, and also laboratory parameters showing a decrease of allergic and inflammatory answer. There was a remarkable improvement in the study group and a diminishing of the crisis frequency after 14 months of treatment. These results show that the obtained results are similar of the results in the control group, making feasible using homeopathic treatment in paediatric asthmatic patients, by its effectiveness, accessibility, tolerance, absence of side effects and economy.
