Instituciones y conflictos en el ámbito de la enseñanza de la tisiología en Córdoba 1920-1955 / Institutions and conflicts in tuberculosis teaching in Córdoba, 1920-1955

RESUMEN

Este artículo pretende analizar el proceso de formación de las instituciones de enseñanza en la tisiología en el ámbito de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. La provincia de Córdoba, especialmente su capital y la región noroeste estuvieron consideradas por la medicina como zonas aptas para las curas climáticas. Esto generó una migración importante de enfermos y a su vez un interés creciente de los médicos por el estudio de la enfermedad. El análisis de los diferentes actores que intervinieron en el proceso de creación de las instituciones de enseñanza se estudia a partir del concepto de campo de Bourdieu. Desde esta perspectiva se abordan las etapas por las que transcurrió la tisiología, la creación de instituciones donde se llevó a cabo la enseñanza y las tensiones y conflictos que se dieron en esa conformación.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the process of institutionalizing tuberculosis research and teaching in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the State University of Cordoba. The province of Cordoba, especially the capital and the northwestern region, was considered an area suitable for climatic cure. This caused an important flow of migration of infected people and at the same time an increasing interest of the argentine physicians in studying this disease. The analysis of the different actors that participated in the creation process of teaching institutions in this area will be studied with basis on Bourdieu's concept of 'field'. From this perspective, this paper approaches the stages of the disease, the development of teaching institutions, and the tensions and disagreements that were involved in their constitution.
