Qualidade de vida e promoção da saúde na perspectiva dos usuários da estratégia de saúde da família / Quality of life and health promotion through the perspective of the users of the family health strategy

ABSTRACT

This study is a research with a quantitative and qualitative approach in the region of a Family Health Unit in Santa Maria in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. This work aimed to know the demographic, socio-cultural, political-economic and sanitary context of the population of the region, and to learn the local necessities in order to organize the attention to health. The quantitative analysis classified the data into four indicators the population indicator with the population ranging from 20 and 39 years of age, and mainly of the female sex; the socio-economic indicator with low levels of education and income; the health indicator with appropriate sanitary conditions; presenting risk areas in some regions and a high prevalence of chronic non-transmissible illnesses, and finally, the indicator of offer of health services revealed the Family Health Unit as being the main form of access to these services. The data determined the population?s life conditions, which are important factors affecting the quality of life, and it is essential to consider them so that practices of health promotion are conducted in the community.

RESUMO

Trata-se de pesquisa de campo, descritiva, com abordagem quanti-qualitativa na região da Unidade de Saúde da Família Bela União, Santa Maria/RS, cujos objetivos foram conhecer o contexto demográfico, sócio-cultural, político-econômico e sanitário da população da região e apreender as necessidades locais para organizar a atenção à saúde. A análise quantitativa classificou os dados em quatro indicadores indicador populacional com população concentrada entre 20 e 39 anos, predominantemente do sexo feminino; indicador sócio-econômico com baixo nível de instrução e renda; indicador de saúde com condições sanitárias adequadas, apresentando áreas de risco em algumas regiões e maior prevalência de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis; indicador de oferta de serviços de saúde demonstrou a Unidade de Saúde da Família como principal forma de acesso a estes. Consideraram-se esses dados determinantes das condições de vida da população, fatores importantes na qualidade de vida, sendo essencial considerá-los, para realizar práticas de promoção da saúde na comunidade.
