As implicações da hospitalização para a criança, sua família e equipe de enfermagem: um estudo exploratório descritivo / The implications of the hospitalization for the child, his family and nursing team: a descriptive exploratory study

ABSTRACT

The years of experience as Pediatric Nurses did with that we started to observe the paper and the participation of the family in the care rendered the hospitalized child. This fact motivated us to study with more depth the theme, with the purpose of understanding the implications of the hospitalization for the child, his family and nursing professionals, considering the different evolutionary phases of the infantile development. We accomplished a descriptive exploratory study with base in bibliographical rising, with the objective of analyzing the nursing production that talks about the participation of the family in the care to the hospitalized child and of discussing the implications of the hospitalization for the child, family and nursing team. The search had as main focus the use of the key word hospitalized child in the Base of Data of Nursing (BDENF) and in the Latin-American Literature and of Caribbean in Sciences of the Health (LILACS). The analysis of the data revealed that the quantitative of nursing productions on the theme is significant, supplanting the production of other professional categories and that the scientific production regarding the theme is growing and it bent in the decade of 90 when compared with the eighties. With base in the found data, we observed that in the decade of 90, the subjects related to the service and to the care rendered the hospitalized child deserved a larger attention, following for the subjects regarding the relationship professional-family and linked subjects to the mother. We concluded that the nursing team fits to create strategies of inclusion of the family in the care to the child during his/her hospitalization, stimulating the presence of the family and providing opportunities where she can receive explanations concerning the disease and his son's treatment and where can express their anguishes and limitations.

RESUMO

Os anos de experiência como Enfermeiras Pediatras levou-nos a observar o papel e a participação do familiar acompanhante no cuidado prestado à criança hospitalizada. Este fato incentivou-nos a estudar com mais profundidade o tema, a fim de compreender melhor as implicações da hospitalização para a criança, sua família e profissionais de enfermagem, considerando as diferentes fases evolutivas do desenvolvimento infantil. Com o objetivo de analisar a produção de enfermagem que abordasse a questão da inserção do familiar no cuidado à criança hospitalizada e discutir as implicações da hospitalização para a criança, família e equipe de enfermagem, realizamos estudo exploratório descritivo com base em levantamento bibliográfico, cuja busca teve como foco principal a utilização do descritor criança hospitalizada na Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) e na Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS). A análise dos dados revelou que o quantitativo de produções de enfermagem sobre a temática é significativo, suplantando a produção de outras categorias profissionais e que a produção científica a respeito do tema vem crescendo e dobrou na década de 90 quando comparada com os anos 80. Com base nos dados encontrados, observamos que na década de 90, as questões relacionadas ao atendimento e ao cuidado prestado à criança hospitalizada mereceram uma maior atenção, seguidas pelas questões referentes ao relacionamento profissional-família e questões ligadas à mãe. Concluímos que cabe a equipe de enfermagem criar estratégias de inclusão da família no cuidado à criança durante sua hospitalização, estimulando a presença do familiar para os esclarecimentos acerca da doença e tratamento de seu filho e onde possa expressar suas angústias e limitações.
