Pesquisa qualitativa em educação física: possibilidades de construção de conhecimento a partir do referencial cultural / Qualitative research in physical education: possibilities for knowledge building from the cultural frame of reference

RESUMO

Este trabalho aponta pressupostos para a pesquisa qualitativa em Educação Física, a partir de revisão de literatura, com base no referencial cultural. Primeiramente, apresentamos o debate sobre as Ciências da Natureza e Ciências Humanas e implicações para a Educação Física; em seguida, partimos de um eixo cultural como base para as pesquisas na área, propondo a "descrição densa" como possibilidade de construção de conhecimento; finalmente, trazemos exemplos de estudos realizados a partir do enfoque em questão. Esse aporte teórico-metodológico permite estudar o ser humano como um ser cultural, contrapondo-se, assim, à visão naturalizada de homem, predominante na Educação Física.

ABSTRACT

This work indicates presuppositions for the qualitative research in Physical Education, starting with a literature review based on the cultural frame of reference. Firstly, we introduce the debate concerning the natural and the human sciences and implications for the Physical Education; we then use a cultural axis as a ground basis for the research in the area, proposing the 'dense description' as a possibility for knowledge building; finally, we bring up examples of studies conducted with such an approach. This theoretical methodological approach allows the study of the human being as a cultural being, thus opposed to the naturalised view of a human - predominant in Physical Education.
