ABSTRACT
Palavras-chave: Colelitíase; Colecistectomia; Cálculos; Obesidade; Dieta(AU).Objective: Cholelithiasis is a highly prevalent disease and is linked to several nutritional complications. The objective of this review is to gather information available in the literature about the influence of dietary factors, anthropometric and lipid profile on the formation of gallstones. Methodology: In order to support this article, a bibliographic survey was conducted considering scientific articles related to the subject published in the last 40 years. Conclusion: The data available in the literature about factors involvedin the development of gallstones are not totally conclusive; therefore, new studies are required to improve the knowledge.
