Teste de Memória de Relatos: elaboração de instrumento para seleção de policiais / Memory of Reports Test: construction of an instrument for the selection of police officers

RESUMO

Considerando o contexto policial, construiu-se um teste psicológico composto de 32 itens para medir memória de relatos. As bases teóricas que embasaram a construção do teste foram o Paradigma do Falso Testemunho, teoria estudada no contexto criminológico, e a literatura sobre Representações Baseadas no Significado. O teste é composto do relato de uma história, seguido de uma avaliação do tipo reconhecimento. Os itens foram submetidos à análise de juízes, avaliação semântica, e em seguida foram aplicados a 319 sujeitos. Após a análise estrutural dos dados coletados, encontraram-se dois componentes: memória e inferência (KMO: 0,81 e alfas de Cronbach: 0,83 e 0,66, respectivamente). Realizou-se uma análise de regressão utilizando o método enter para cada um dos componentes, levando-se em conta os dados das variáveis demográficas e de autopercepção coletados. Os resultados mostram uma correlação negativa significativa entre os componentes do teste e a variável autopercepção geral da memória.

ABSTRACT

Considering the police context, a psychological test with 32 items was built to measure memory of reports. The theoretical bases for the test's construction were the Eyewitness Testimony Paradigm, analised on a criminological context, and the Meaning Based Representation literature. The test consists of a story narration, followed by an evaluation of the kind of recognition. All items were submitted to judges' analysis, semantics evaluation, and subsequently applied to a sample of 319 subjects. After the strutural analysis of the collected data, two components were found: memory and inference (KMO: 0.81 and the alphas of Cronbach: 0.83 and 0.66, respectively). A regression analysis was also realized for each of the components using the enter method. The predictive variables were the elements collected from demographical variables and self perception. The results showed a negative and significant correlation between the test components and the variable of general self perception of memory.
