Avaliação das alterações posturais da cabeça e da coluna cervical em pacientes com disfunções têmporo-mandibulares / Evaluation of posturais alterations of the head and of the column cervical in patients with temporomandibular dysfunctions

RESUMO

A disfunção têmporo-mandibular é definida por doenças que acomete os músculos mastigatórios, a articulação têmporo-mandibular e as estruturas adjacentes. A mandíbula fora da posição fisiológica poderá alterar a posição do crânio , deste em relação à coluna cervical e em toda a coluna vertebral. É relevante a concientização da equipe multidisciplinar e de pacientes quanto às adaptações posturais descendentes, promovendo a prevenção de complicações e a realização de um tratamento holístico. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as alterações posturais da cabeça e da coluna cervical em pacientes com disfunções têmporo-mandibulares relacionando com a sintomatologia apresentada . O estudo foi do tipo quantitativo, transversal e descritivo no qual avaliou dez pacientes com disfunção têmporo-mandibulares participantes do Programa de Controle das Disfunções Têmporo-mandibulares da Faculdade Integrada do Ceará, no período de abril a maio de 2006. A coleta dos dados realizou-se em um único encontro utilizando-se um questionário, avaliação da cabeça e da coluna cervical e fotos em vista anterior, posterior e perfil. Todos os pacientes apresentaram alterações posturais na cabeça e na coluna cervical, sendo que em vista anterior e posterior observou-se maior número de lateralizações e rotações de cabeça, salientando que prevaleceram lateralizações da cabeça para o mesmo lado da articulação têmporo-mandibular com maior sintomatologia dolorosa. Na vista em perfil foi mais frequente a anteriorização de cabeça e retificação cervical. desta forma, percebeu-se que os pacientes avaliados possuem alteração postural da cabeça e da coluna cervical podendo ser os sintomas agudos ou crônicos a influência na má postura.

ABSTRACT

The temporomandibular dysfunction is defined by illnesses that attack the mastigatórios muscles, the temple mandibular joint and the adjacent structures. The jaw is of the physiological position will be able to have alteration in the position of the skull, of this in relation to the cervical column and all the vertebral colums. The awareness of the team to multidiscipline and patients how much to the descending posturais adaptations in excellent, promoting the prevention of complications and the accomplishment of a holistic treatment. The objective of this study was to analyze the posturais alterations of the head and column cervical in patients with temporomandibulat dysfunctions relating with the presented symptoms. The study it was of the quantitative, transversal and descriptive type, I contend ten participant patients with temporomandibular dysfunction of the Program of Temporomandibular Control of the Dysfunctions of the Integrated College of the Ceará, in the period of April the May of 2006. The collection of the data became fulfilled in an only meeting using itself a questionnaire, fiche of evaluation of the head and column cervical and photos in previous, posterior sight and profile. All the patients had presented posturais alterations of the head and column cervical, being that in previous and posterior sight it observed bigger number of lateralizações and rotations of head, pointing out that lateralizações had prevailed the same of the head for side of the temple mandibular joint with bigger painful symptoms. In the sight in profile it was more frequent the anteriorização of head and cervical rectification. In such a way, one perceived that the evaluated patients possess postural alteration of the head and column cervical being able to be the acute or chronic symptoms the influence in the bad position.
