Plataforma informática para la gestión en red de información multimedia y geoespacial orientada a grupos sociales que trabajan en entornos virtuales distribuidos / Informatics platform for the networked management of geospatial and multimedia information directed to social groups working in distributed virtual environments

RESUMEN

El Instituto de Información Científica y Tecnológica creó una red telemática que facilita la colaboración, intercambio, publicación y recuperación de información multimedia y geoespacial entre los grupos sociales que —localizados en distintos lugares de la geografía cubana— conforman el sistema institucional de la entidad a nivel nacional. Para la instalación de la plataforma informática que soporta esta red se seleccionaron diversos programas de código abierto que permiten a los grupos sociales la publicación de información de forma distribuida y su recuperación centralizada, y con esto potenciar la gestión de la información desde entornos globales a locales. En el diseño se consideró facilitar el aprendizaje no presencial de los diversos grupos sociales del sistema.

ABSTRACT

The Institute of Scientific and Technological Information developed a telematic network to facilitate collaboration, exchange, publication and multimedia and geospatial information retrieval among the social groups that located in different places of the Cuban geography are part of the institutional system of the entity at the national level. For the installation of the informatics platform supporting this network, different open code softwares that allow the social groups the publication of distributed information and its centralized retrieval were chosen aimed at potentiating the information management from global to local environments. In the design, it was considered to facilitate distance learning for different social groups of the system.
