RESUMEN
La Odontología Restauradora contemporánea debe encararse con una filosofía preventivo-restauradora absolutamente conservadoray preservadora de las estructuras dentarias naturales.Inclusive cuando utiliza procedimientos invasivos, debe hacerlo de forma gradual y estrictamente siguiendo las necesidadesespecíficas de cada caso.Los avances de la Cariología para la prevención y tratamiento de la enfermedad infecciosa caries dental y el desarrollo demateriales y técnicas adhesivas de la Odontología Restauradora, facilitan la realización de tratamientos respetuosos y muyconservadores de los tejidos dentario sanos.
ABSTRACT
Present day restorative dentistry must be handled with a preventive-restorative philosophy, absolutely conservative andpreservative of the natural dental structures.Even when dealing with invasive procedures, these must be achieved gradually and strictly following the specific needs for eachcase.Advances in Cariology for the prevention and treatment of the infectious disease ®dental caries¼, and the development ofadhesive materials and techniques of Restorative Dentistry, facilitate the execution of respectful and very conservative treatmentsof the dental tissues.
