Subjetividade e materialidade: cidade, espaço e trabalho / Subjectivity and objectivity: city, space and work

RESUMO

Discutimos, no presente texto, a relação estabelecida entre a categoria espaço (considerado socio-historicamente) e a dimensão subjetiva dos diversos atores sociais que dele, necessariamente, se apropriam. Partindo da cidade, objeto privilegiado de nossa análise, buscamos, além de uma breve discussão sobre alteridade, indicar a articulação do espaço com a formação e consolidação de identidades. Para a discussão deste processo, tomamos, especialmente, a centralidade do trabalho nos novos arranjos urbanos. Entendemos que é de suma importância a reflexão sobre a relação espaço/subjetividade. A partir de uma ótica transdisciplinar, buscamos destacar, na cidade moderna, a questão da segregação e seu impacto subjetivo.

ABSTRACT

The paper discusses the relationship between the subjectivity and the space occuppied, as it is historically and socially appreciated. For the purpose of the analysis the "city" is the chosen object of our present study. Besides discussing alterity, by checking the changes in that relationship, this paper tries to point out how space creates and consolidates human identities and the centrality of work in the actual urban arrangements. Itïs really important to think about the relationship between space/subjectivity. Through a transdisciplinary point-of- view, the aim of the present article is to discuss the issue of segregation and its subjective impact.
