O convite a outras vozes na construção da mudança em terapia familiar / The invitation to other voices in the construction of change in family therapy

RESUMO

Este artigo descreve uma experiência de atendimento a uma família cujo filho mais novo foi encaminhado pela escola para terapia. Tem como objetivo ilustrar como a inclusão de um membro do grupo familiar no sistema terapêutico pode ampliar entendimentos e criar conversações generativas. Inspirados por uma abordagem construcionista social, descreveremos a construção do sistema terapêutico no caso atendido, buscando explicitar como se deram as transformações narrativas nas sessões. Através das conversas iniciais, construímos um relato dominante sobre a família e o problema, o qual foi transformado pelo início da participação da filha mais velha na terapia, facilitando a transformação de antigas vozes familiares. As reflexões sobre este processo de mudança apontam a importância da construção da terapia como um espaço de confiança no qual seja possível à família se apropriar de seus recursos e se co-responsabilizar pela solução de seus dilemas.

ABSTRACT

This article describes the therapy experience of a family whose youngest son was referred to therapy by the school. Its goal is to illustrate how the inclusion of a member of the family in the therapeutic system can promote understandings and create generative conversations. Based on a social constructionist approach, we describe the construction of the therapeutic system, emphasizing the narrative changes in the sessions. Through the initial conversations, we constructed a dominant story about the family and the problem, which was transformed by the beginning of the participation of the oldest daughter in the therapy, facilitating the transformation of old familiar voices. The reflections about this process of change point to the importance of constructing therapy as a safe space in which it is possible to the family to recognize its resources and to be co-responsible for the solution of its dilemmas.
