ABSTRACT
This text discusses theoretical and clinical questions that appear when a psychoanalyst, based on Lacan's theory, intends to treat a psychotic child. It discusses particular aspects of analytical work regarding infantile psychosis, as well as, upon what characterizes the psychotic subject, considering the singularity that marks its functioning. The purpose is to think about the theory from the clinical experience. This direction is related to psychoanalysis ethic and it is supposed the discussion of the case can help to think about the praxis. Finally, this writing, in which theory and practice are articulated - and the theory is checked by the clinic -, does not intend to give place to conclusions, but instead to rest open to other discoveries.
