RESUMO
TEMA Fonoaudiologia e Saúde do Trabalhador. OBJETIVO:
apresentar uma revisão de conceitos, concepções e histórico ligados à Vigilância em Saúde do Trabalhador em seu sentido amplo, abrangendo as vigilâncias epidemiológica, ambiental e sanitária, referindo a importância da utilização de tais aspectos na prática da Fonoaudiologia.CONCLUSÃO:
considerando-se que a Vigilância em Saúde do Trabalhador pauta-se nos princípios do Sistema Único de Saúde, é necessário que o fonoaudiólogo incorpore as estruturas de vigilâncias à sua prática, identificando e modificando os riscos provenientes das atividades ocupacionais. Assim, a vigilância tem que ter caráter antecipatório, possibilitando o fornecimento de informações importantes para o planejamento de ações, garantindo a qualidade da assistência à saúde da população de trabalhadores.ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND:
Speech, language and hearing sciences and worker health.PURPOSE:
to present a revision of concepts, conceptions and history linked to the vigilance in Employee's Health, in its broad meaning, comprising epidemiologic, environmental and sanitary vigilances, referring to the importance regarding the use of such concepts in the practice of Speech Therapy.CONCLUSION:
considering that the Vigilance in Employee's Health follows the guidelines of the Unique Health System (SUS), the speech therapist is required to adopt such guidelines in practice, identifying and modifying the risks originating from these occupational activities. Thus, the vigilance has to anticipate, allowing the provision of vital information for the course of actions, assuring the quality of health assistance to the population of employees.
