Permanecendo no próprio ser: a potência de corpos e afetos em Espinosa / Remaining on the being itself: the power of bodies and affects in Spinoza

RESUMO

Este artigo tem como objetivo principal percorrer algumas passagens da Ética de Espinosa, buscando delimitar o lugar e a importância da noção de corpo em seu pensamento. No decorrer deste percurso, também são abordadas outras questões fundamentais correlacionadas ao tema central, tais como os conceitos de substância e potência, assim como as relações entre corpo e mente. Por último, procura-se delimitar a especificidade do corpo humano, articulando-a com o lugar decisivo ocupado pelos afetos na teoria espinosana. Com isso busca-se destacar também a importância fundamental das noções de vida e imanência em sua teoria.

ABSTRACT

This article aims mainly to cover some passages of the Ethics of Spinoza, searching to delimit the place and the importance of the notion of body in his thought. During this course, other fundamental questions correlated to the central subject are also approached, such as the concepts of substance and power, as well as the relations between body and mind. Finally, it looks to delimit the specific place of the human body, articulating it with the decisive place for the affection in Espinoza's theory. With this course the article searches also to accentuate the basic importance of the notions of life and immanence in its theory.
