Estudio de la norma anatómica de la Arteria Cerebral Anterior: ramos perforantes / Study of the anatomical norm of the Anterior Cerebral Artery: perforating branches

RESUMEN

Las enfermedades cerebrovasculares constituyen la tercera causa de muerte a nivel mundial y en Cuba. Es relevante la incidencia de aneurismas y otras malformaciones en el sistema de la Arteria Cerebral Anterior. Conocer su norma anatómica, que es variable, individual y polimorfa garantiza las estrategias diagnósticas y quirúrgicas. Para describirla se realizó un estudio descriptivo en 50 cerebros humanos, procedentes de fallecidos, a los que se les realizó necropsia en el Departamento de Medicina Legal del Hospital Provincial de Ciego de Ávila. Se disecó cada hemisferio cerebral con su sistema arterial, de donde se obtuvo la caracterización desde el punto de vista anatómico del patrón común y las variantes de la norma de la arteria Cerebral Anterior (ramos perforantes) en el universo de estudio, teniendo en cuenta origen, trayecto, número, formas de presentación y calibre externo. Se llegó a la conclusión de que las arterias perforantes son ramos constantes de la arteria Cerebral Anterior en todos los casos, excluyendo a la arteria Recurrente de Heubner. El trayecto fue muy variable por la dirección y segmento donde se originó, con múltiples formas de presentación. Se constató gran variabilidad de un espécimen a otro en cuanto a número y grosor.

ABSTRACT

The cerebrovascular illnesses constitute the third cause of death worldwide and in Cuba. It is prominent the incidence of aneurysms and other malformations in the System of the Anterior Cerebral Artery. Knowing its anatomical norm, that is variable, individual and polymorphous, guarantees the surgical and diagnostic strategies. A descriptive study in 50 human brains from dead people was carried out, to whom the autopsy was done in the Department of Legal Medicine of the Provincial Hospital of Ciego de Avila. Each cerebral hemisphere with its arterial system was dissected, and the characterization from the anatomical point of view of the common pattern was obtained as well as the variant of the norm of the Anterior Cerebral artery (perforating branches), in the universe of study, keeping in mind origin, trajectory, number, forms of presentation and external diameter. It was arrieved to the conclusion that the Perforating Arteries are constant branches of the Anterior Cerebral Artery in all the cases, excluding to the Recurrent Artery of Heubner. The trajectory was very variable because of the direction and segment where it was originated, with multiple forms of presentation. A great variableness of a specimen to another, with regard to number and thickness, was verified.
