Associação da prótese parcial removível com a prótese fixa: uma revisão de literatura / Association of removable partial prothesis with the fixed prothesis: a literature rewiew

RESUMO

A prótese parcial removível juntamente com a prótese parcial fixa, quando bem planejadas, consistem em mais uma alternativa de tratamento para reabilitação de arcos parcialmente dentados. Esta associação permite soluções versáteis e simples como a utilização de prótese parcial removível com retentores extracoronáriios (grampos), ou mais sofisticadas, como encaixes e attachments. O objetivo deste artigo é realizar uma revisão de literatura acerca das principais implicações clínicas e laboratoriais ocasionadas pela associação da prótese fixa com a removível.

ABSTRACT

The removable partial denture and the fixed partial denture when they have a good planning are a clinical alternative on the reabilitation of partially edentulous jaws. This association allows a simple and versatile method using clasp or an aesthetical solution by the use of attachments. The aim of this article is to make a literature review about the main clinical and laboratorial effects of the association between fixed and removable prosthesis.
