RESUMO

O avanço tecnológico na área odontológica vem permitindo a conquista de novos instrumentos e técnicasque simplificam o trabalho dos Cirurgiões-dentistas, entretanto deixa em segundo plano a relação da posturano trabalho diário, ocasionando, na maioria das vezes, problemas de saúde que interferem na atuaçãoclínica. Considerando a grande importância que a ergonomia tem para o sucesso e o incremento das açõesdesenvolvidas durante o atendimento odontológico, este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar e discutir asnormas e diretrizes ergonômicas existentes na área odontológica relacionadas especificamente à postura detrabalho bem como os estudos recentes nesse campo. Sabe-se que a consolidação e a aplicação de princípiosergonômicos que identifiquem, apontem e modifiquem as inadequações posturais se fazem necessárias sendouma maneira eficaz de se garantir a salubridade, segurança, alto desempenho, motivação e a satisfaçãona prática odontológica

ABSTRACT

The technological advance in dentistry has been allowing the conquest of new tools and techniques thatsimplify the work of dentists meanwhile leaves in the background the relationship of posture on the dailywork, resulting in most cases, health problems that interfere with clinical performance. Considering thegreat importance that the ergonomics has for the increment and the success of the actions undertakenduring the dental care, this study aims to present and discuss the ergonomic standards and guidelines inthe dentistry related specifically to working posture and recent studies in this .It is known that theconsolidation and implementation of ergonomic principles that identify, point and suggest modifying theinadequacies posture are needed as an effective way to ensure the health, safety, high performance, motivationand satisfaction in dental practice
