Estudo dos efeitos da música após fisioterapia respiratória / Effect of the music post respiratory physiotherapy

RESUMO

A musicoterapia é uma forma terapêutica que utiliza a música para facilitar, promover e contribuir para uma melhor qualidade de vida do paciente. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar de forma quantitativa e qualitativa os efeitos da música em pacientes portadores de encefalopatia crônica não progressiva após fisioterapia respiratória internados na Enfermaria Pediátrica do Complexo Hospitalar do Mandaqui. Foram estudadas 3 crianças, submetidas a sessões individuais de fisioterapia. A terapia teve duração de 30 minutos, em 2 dias consecutivos, sendo um dia de terapia com música clássica e o outro sem música, desta forma, cada paciente foi controle dele mesmo. Foram analisados os seguintes parâmetros Frequência Cardíaca (FC), Frequência Respiratória (FR) e Saturação de Oxigênio (SatO2). Observou-se que a intervenção através da música parece ter influenciado na redução dos parâmetros FC e FR, principalmente após 15 minutos do término da fisioterapia, porém, os resultados não foram estatisticamente significativos(teste t de Student, p > 0,05 para todas as variáveis estudadas). Quanto à avaliação subjetiva, percebe-se que houve maior tranqüilidade e relaxamento após a terapia com música. Em conclusão, observou-se neste estudo uma ação benéfica da música pela tendência à redução dos sinais vitais (FC e FR) em crianças portadoras de encefalopatia crônica não progressiva. Contudo, existem lacunas a serem preenchidas nesta área, necessitando a realização de estudos com um número maior de crianças.

ABSTRACT

The musictherapy is a therapeutic way which uses the music to facilitate, promote and contribute to a better quality of life to the patient. The objective of this study was to analyze in a quantitative and qualitative way the effects of the music in patients with chronic non progressive encephalopathy post respiratory physiotherapy treatment, hospitalized in the Pediatric Division of the Complex Hospital of Mandaqui. Three children were studied, submitted to individuals sessions of physiotherapy. The therapy lasted 30 minutes, in 2 consecutive days, being one day with classic musictherapy and the other day without music, therefore, each patient was control of itself. The following parameters were analyzed Heart Rate (HR), Respiratory Rate (RR) and Oxygen Saturation (SatO2). It was observed that the intervention through the music seems have influenced the reduction of the parameters HR and RR, mainly15 minutes after the end of the therapy. Yet, these results were not statistical significant (test t Student, p value > 0,05 for all the studied variables). Regarding to the subjective evaluation, it was observed that there was a major tranquility and relaxation after the musictherapy. In conclusion, it was noted a beneficial action of the music by the tendency of reduction of the vital signs (HR and RR) in children with chronic non progressive encephalopathy in this study. However, there are some holes to be occupied in this área, being necessary the realization of studies with a superior number of children.
