Atraso na odontogênese do segundo pré-molar inferior / Delay in the development of the second lower premolar

RESUMO

O presente artigo de divulgação mostra o atraso no desenvolvimento do Segundo pré-molar inferior direito (45), um distúrbio irruptivo de caráter odontogênico, num caso clínico tratado sem extração de dentes. O mérito essencial do artigo está em acompanhar o desenvolvimento do germe dentário 45 em atraso durante cerca de 7 anos, envolvendo toda a sua trajetória espontânea, desde a formação coronária inicial, no momento do diagnóstico, até a sua completa irrupção no espaço criado com a mecanoterapia ortodôntica, quando então foi incluído no tratamento. O acompanhamento exalta a possibilidade de desenvolvimento total do germe dentário atrasado, situação já exposta em artigo prévio com um segundo pré-molar superior.

ABSTRACT

The current paper describes a delay in the development of the lower second premolar, with is an odontogenic eruptive alteration. The article focuses on the 7-years follow-up of the lower second premolar bud, since its initial crown formation until its complete eruption in the space orthodontically created. The long follow-up suggests that there is a strong possibility that the delayed dental bud develops completely, similarly to the situation described in a previous paper about a delayed upper firt premolar.
