ABSTRACT
Fibrous-osseous lesions are characterized of the replacement of osseous structures by the current fibrous tissues. The clinical, radiographic, and histopathological characteristics are important for the final diagnosis of the lesion. The authors discuss which indications of computed tomography (TC) for the diagnosis, treatament and evaluation of fibrous dysplasias, emphazising the radiographic characteristics seen in CT, and showing a case report.
