Conocimiento sobre percepción del riesgo del VIH/SIDA en adultos jóvenes de la enseñanza superior del municipio Morón / Knowledge on the Perception of the Risk of HIV /AIDS in Young Adults of Higher Education at Morón municipality

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio cuasi-experimental (antes-después) de intervención educativa para determinar el nivel de conocimientos sobre percepción del riesgo en la infección por el VIH/SIDA en adultos jóvenes de la enseñanza superior del Municipio Morón durante el período de septiembre del 2006 hasta septiembre 2007. El universo de estudio está representado por 416 estudiantes. Después de la intervención se obtuvo que el 100 por ciento adquirió conocimientos satisfactorios en cuanto a la forma de infestarse; el 98.8 por ciento fue satisfactorio para el momento en que puede realizarse la prueba del VIH después del contacto sexual riesgoso; el 99.5 por ciento adquirió conocimientos satisfactorios en cuanto a formas más comunes de prevención; en cuanto al comportamiento para protegerse de la infección por VIH, el 94.5 por ciento fue evaluado de satisfactorio; el 99.5 por ciento de los capacitados adquirieron conocimientos satisfactorios sobre la responsabilidad del uso del condón. En cuanto a la evaluación general del nivel de conocimiento, el 70.4 por ciento obtuvo calificación de alto y 27.9 por ciento de medio. La prueba de hipótesis tuvo un 95 por ciento de confiabilidad; se demuestra que la labor de la educación en la adquisición de conocimiento conlleva a adquirir conductas responsables en la sexualidad.

ABSTRACT

A quasi-experimental study (before-after) of educative intervention was carried out to determine the level of knowledge on the perception of the risk of HIV /AIDS in young adults of Higher Education at Morón Municipality during the period from September 2006 to September 2007. The universe of study was represented by 416 students. After the intervention it was checked that 100 percent acquired satisfactory knowledge regarding the way to become infested; the 98,8 percent was satisfactory at the moment in which the HIV test could be accomplished after the risky sexual contact; the 99,5 percent acquired satisfactory knowledge regarding the commonest ways of prevention; the 94,5 percent was satisfactorily evaluated, with respect to the behavior to protect against HIV infection; and the 99,5 percent of the young people capacitated acquired satisfactory knowledge on condom-use responsibility; regarding the general evaluation for the knowledge level the 70,4 percent obtained the mark of high and the 27,9 percent were evaluated with the grade of medium. The hypothesis test was 95 percent reliable; it was demonstrated the work of the education for the knowledge acquisition entailed to acquire responsible conducts about sexuality.
