RESUMEN
Se hizo un estudio descriptivo y prospectivo de todos los pacientes con virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana y sida, atendidos de enero a septiembre del 2008 en el Hospital General Docente Dr Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso de Santiago de Cuba, para describir las variaciones de las inmunoglobulinas M, G y A y su asociación con la evolución clínica y el tratamiento antirretroviral como marcadores evolutivos en la progresión de la infección, lo cual reveló que los niveles de inmunoglobulinas G y A resultaron mayores en los que no recibieron dicho tratamiento.
ABSTRACT
Descriptive and prospective study of all patients with human immunodeficiency virus and AIDS, assisted from January to September, 2008 was carried out in Dr Juan Bruno Zayas ALfonso Teaching General Hospital from Santiago de Cuba, to describe the immunoglobulins M, G and A variations and its association with the clinical course and the antirretroviral treatment, as clinical course markers in the progression of the infection, which revealed that the levels of immunoglobulins G and A were higher in those that didn't receive such treatment.
