Qualidade de vida em pacientes submetidos à cirurgia bariátrica do tipo Derivação Biliopancreática com Preservação Gástrica (DBPPG) / Quality of life of people underwent the bariatric surgery of Videolaparoscopic Biliopancreatic Diversion with Gastric Preservation (GDBGP)

RESUMO

Introdução - Obesidade é uma doença crônica com uma série de comorbidades, tendo como fator determinante a grande quantidade de alimentos ingeridos maior do que o organismo pode metabolizar, levando ao acúmulo de gordura reserva. As causas são desconhecidas, e a doença tem aumentado muito no Brasil. Em virtude desses dados, a cirurgia báriátrica surge como uma possibilidade de obter uma vida mais longa, com qualidade e sem comorbidades. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a qualidade de vida de pessoas submetidas à cirurgia bariátrica do tipo de Derivação Biliopancreática com Preservação Gástrica (DBPPG). Material e Método - Tratou-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório com abordagem quantitativa. Foram avaliadas 30 pessoas que foram submetidas à DBPPG há 3 meses. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um questionário para categorização socioeconômica e do IMC pré e pós-operatório. Além do Bariatric Analysis Reporting Outcome System (BAROS) para avaliação da qualidade de vida. A amostra foi composta por 19 mulheres e 11 homens, com diminuição do IMC no tempo avaliado. Resultados - Dentre os participantes desta pesquisa, 73,33% se sentem muito melhor do que antes, 46,67% participam mais na sociedade, 40% aumentaram seu rendimento no trabalho e 43,33% melhoraram sua vida sexual. Na análise do resultado final 66,67% referiram uma melhora na qualidade de vida, 30% garantiram que melhorou muito e 3,33% não notaram nenhuma mudança significativa. Conclusão - A cirurgia DBPPG traz resultados positivos e benéficos para as pessoas, melhorando a autoestima e consequentemente, a qualidade de vida.

ABSTRACT

Introduction - Obesity is a chronic disease with a series of comorbidities, having as a determining factor the high quantity of ingested food more than what the organism can metabolize, leading to the accumulate of reserve fat. The causes are unknown and this disease has much increased in Brazil. Because of these data, the bariatric surgery appears as a possibility of obtaining a longer, with a better quality and no comorbidities' life. The different situations which involve the morbidly obese can influence in these people's quality of life. This research had as an objective the evaluation of the quality of life of people underwent the bariatric surgery of Videolaparoscopic Biliopancreatic Diversion with Gastric Preservation (GDBGP). Material and Method - It was about a describing and exploitative study with quantitative approach. Thirty people who had undergone this surgery 3 months ago were evaluated. The data collection was carried through a questionnaire for social-economic categorization and pre- and post-surgery BMI besides Bariatric Analysis Reporting Outcome System (BAROS) for quality-of-life evaluation. The sample was composed of 19 women and 11 men, with a significant reduction of BMI in the time evaluated. Results - Among the participants of the research, 73.33% feel much better than before, 46.67% participate more in the society, 40% had an increase in the work rendered and 43.33% improved their sexual lives. In the analysis of the final results, 66.67% reported an improvement in their quality of life, 30% guarantee dit has improved a lot and only 3.33% didn't notice any significant change. Conclusion - The surgery GDBGP brings positive and beneficial results for people, improving their self-esteem and consequently their quality-of-life.
