RESUMO

Este artigo objetiva debater a atenção à saúde do adolescente autor de ato infracional privado de liberdade no Brasil. Para tanto, duas vias principais são abordadas 1) apontar os impasses e desafios na garantia do direito à saúde desse adolescente institucionalizado em unidades de internação; 2) estimular novas frentes de debate da questão, sobretudo no âmbito da saúde, que contribuam para afirmar políticas públicas incipientes na seara da adolescência em conflito com a lei e que, igualmente, impulsionem novas ações nesse sentido.

ABSTRACT

This article aim is to discuss the attention to health care of adolescent deprived from freedom due to infractions, in Brazil. To that end, two major approaches are discussed 1) point out the difficulties and challenges in securing the right to health of institutionalized adolescents in inpatient units, 2) stimulate new areas of discussion of the issue, especially in healthcare, contributing to state incipient public policies on the area of adolescence in conflict with the law and also boost new actions accordingly.
