Abordagem interdisciplinar do adolescente obeso com ênfase nos aspectos psicossociais e nutricionais / Interdisciplinary approach of the obese adolescent with emphasis in the aspects psychological and nutritional aspects

RESUMO

A obesidade é um fenômeno em ascensão universal. Em crianças e adolescentes é particularmente preocupante pelo risco do desenvolvimento precoce de doenças típicas do adulto e pela possibilidade de permanência do quadro na vida adulta. A abordagem interdisciplinar do adolescente obeso é a forma mais adequada de tratamento uma vez que considera a complexa causalidade envolvida, tais como a evolução do processo psíquico do indivíduo, a história pessoal, as relações afetivas vivenciadas ao longo do desenvolvimento, as dificuldades relativas a um período de grandes transformações biológicas e psicossociais e o contexto socioeconômico característico da sociedade contemporânea. Estratégias de atendimento adequado para esta faixa etária são fundamentais para evolução satisfatória do tratamento, dentre as quais o atendimento separado dos pais, direito a sigilo e confidencialidade e o trabalho em grupo. Atendimentos padronizados focados exclusivamente na mudança dietética e que desconsideram a complexidade e a singularidade envolvidas podem agravar o quadro clínico. Assim, na abordagem interdisciplinar o objetivo não é tratar a obesidade do adolescente, mas tratar o adolescente obeso.

ABSTRACT

Obesity is a phenomenon in universal ascent. In infants and adolescents is in particular worrying by the risk of the early development of typical illnesses of the adult and by the possibility of permanence of the chart in the adult life. The interdisciplinary approach of the obese adolescent is more adequate form of handling since considers to complex factors involved, such as the evolution of the psychological trial of the individual, the personal history, the affectionate relations experienced to the long one of the development, the relative difficulties to a period of biological and psychological transformations in a context of social and ecoeconomical characteristic of the contemporary society. Strategies of adequate service for this age group are fundamental for satisfactory evolution of the handling, among the indivual and right to secrecy of information. Therefore, the approach exclusively in the dietetic change and that ignore the complexity and the singularity involved can aggravate the clinical chart. Like this, in the interdisciplinary approach the objective is not going to treat the obesity of the adolescent, but treat the obese adolescent.
