O enfrentamento do cliente portador de doença renal crônica mediante o início da diálise peritoneal: reflexões para o cuidado de enfermagem / Facing the customer carrier of chronic kidney disease by initiating peritoneal dialysis: considerations for nursing care

RESUMO

A presente dissertação de mestrado inserida no Núcleo de Fundamentos do Cuidado de Enfermagem (NUCLEARTE) da EEAN tem como objeto: o significado do enfrentamento do cliente portador de doença renal crônica mediante o início da diálise peritoneal. Para tanto, foram traçados os seguintes objetivos: Caracterizar a vivência do cliente portador de doença renal crônica mediante o início da diálise peritoneal, considerando suas manifestações, atitudes, comportamentos, sentimentos e práticas; discutir, a partir da vivência desse cliente, como se dá o enfrentamento; e por fim, propor um modelo teórico substantivo que articule os achados com o cuidado de enfermagem à luz do interacionismo simbólico. Como referencial teórico foi utilizado: Interacionismo Simbólico, dada à importância ao valor do significado do fenômeno na investigação. A abordagem metodológica escolhida foi à pesquisa qualitativa sob orientação dos conceitos da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (TFD). O cenário do estudo foi um Hospital Universitário do Rio de Janeiro. Os participantes da pesquisa foram os clientes que fazem parte do programa de diálise peritoneal desse hospital, num total de oito. Os dados foram colhidos por meio de uma entrevista semi-estruturada em profundidade a fim de proporcionar uma imersão no universo do cliente entrevistado, captando manifestações nãoverbais, dentre outros aspectos....

ABSTRACT

This dissertation included the Center for Fundamentals of Nursing Care (Nuclearte) of EEAN has as its object: the meaning of confronting the client holder of chronic kidney disease by initiating peritoneal dialysis. To this end, we trace the following objectives: To characterize the experience of the customer carrier of chronic kidneydisease by initiating peritoneal dialysis, whereas their expressions, attitudes,behaviors, feelings and practices, to discuss, from the experience of this client, as it happens confrontation, and finally propose a theoretical model that articulates the substantive findings with nursing care in the light of symbolic interaction. The theoretical was used: Symbolic Interactionism, given the importance the value of the significance of the phenomenon in research. The methodological approach chosen was qualitative research under the guidance of the concepts of Grounded Theory (GT). The study setting was a university hospital in Rio de Janeiro. Survey participants were customers who are part of the peritoneal dialysis program that hospital, a total of eight. Data were collected through a semi-structured interviews to provide an immersion in the client's interview, capturing non-verbal manifestations, among other things...
