Efecto de lentes con tinte gris 2, amarillo 2 y ámbar en la atención en niños de quinto grado / Effect of lenses with gray filtre 2, yellow 2 and amber in the attention of children of fifth grade

RESUMEN

Objetivo: determinar si existe un cambio en la atención con el uso de lentes con tinte gris 2, amarillo 2 y ámbar. Metodología: se realizó un estudio observacional, comparativo, transversal en la ciudad de Aguascalientes, México a 120 estudiantes (60 niñosy 60 niñas) de quinto grado de educación básica; la muestra no probabilística por conveniencia se subdividió en niños con y sin signos de problemas de atención a criterio de los profesores. Se realizaron pruebas sin lentes y, posteriormente, con el usode lentes con cada tipo de tinte para determinar la velocidad y el tipo de procesamiento; las pruebas realizadas fueron desarrollo del movimiento ocular Development Eye Movement (DEM), prueba decopiado, Word Copy Sentence (WCS), Tachitoscopey visual span. Resultados: el análisis de medias mostraron que el uso de tinte color gris 2 mejoró elprocesamiento simultáneo y el tinte amarillo 2 mejoró el procesamiento secuencial en el grupo de niños con problemas de atención. En el grupo de niños sin problemas de atención el tinte ámbar mejora ambos tipos de procesamiento. Conclusión: el uso de lentes con tinte gris y amarillo tiene efecto en el desempeñode los niños con problemas de atención.

ABSTRACT

Objective: to determine if a change in the attention exists with the use of lenses with gray filtre 2, yellow 2, and amber. Methods: a observational, comparative,cross-sectional study was realized in Aguascalientes, Mexico to 120 students (60 boys and 60 girls)of fifth basic degree of education, the non probabilistic sample by convenience was subdivided in children with and without signs of problems of attention to criterion of the professors. The tests without lenses and later with the use of lenses with each type of filtre were realized to determine the speed and type of processing, the test realized were Development of the ocular movement Development eye Movement (DEM), copied Test of, Word Copy Sentence (WCS),Tachitoscope and line of vision span. Results: the average analysis, show that the gray filtre 2 improved the simultaneous processing and yellow filtre 2 improved the sequential processing in the group of children with attention problems. In the group of children without attention problems the amber filtre improved both types of processing. Conclusion: the use of lenses with gray and yellow filtres has effect in the performance of the children with attention problems.
