RESUMEN

En el entorno ocupacional y como resultado de diversos procesos industriales, los trabajadores se ven expuestos a diferentes compuestos que contienen metales tóxicos, como el cromo y el plomo, los cuales ocasionan alto riesgo de enfermedades ocupacionales e impacto en el ecosistema. El presente artículo es una revisión sobre los metales tóxicos plomo, cromoIII y cromo VI y sus efectos sobre la salud humana.También se incluye una breve descripción sobrela naturaleza de estos elementos, cómo contaminan el ambiente, cómo ocurre la exposición y se recopilan algunas medidas de seguridad para minimizarla.

ABSTRACT

In the occupational environment as a result from diverse industrial processes, the workers are exposed to different compounds containing toxic metals as the chrome and lead, causing high risk of occupational diseases and affecting the ecosystem. Thepresent article is a review on the toxic metals lead, chrome III and chrome VI and its effects on the human health. A brief description is included also on the nature of these elements, how they contaminate the environment, how occurs the exposure, and some safety precautions are compiled to minimize it.
