Identificação de fontes de informação em assistência nutricional às pessoas que vivem com HIV/AIDS e a importância para a atuação do profissional de saúde / Identification of sources of information on nutrition assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS and the importance to the role of health professionals

RESUMO

Introdução: a boa nutrição representa apoio fundamental às medidas farmacológicas que propiciam melhor qualidade de vida aos portadores de HIV/AIDS. A busca de informações atualizadas e adequadas constitui objeto de grande interesse de nutricionistas envolvidos com a prática de oferecer boa nutrição aos pacientes com HIVAIDS e representa papel essencial das ONGs/AIDS que atuam nessa área. Objetivos: apresentar e discutir os resultados de trabalho de organização e identificação de fontes de informação em DST/AIDS realizado em uma ONG/ AIDS. Métodos: foram catalogados e classificados 255 itens bibliográficos constituídos, em sua maioria, de livros, catálogos, cartilhas, guias e manuais especializados em DST/AIDS. Resultados: os materiais relacionados especificamente às DST/AIDS e doenças sexualmente transmissíveis perfizeram 100 itens bibliográficos. O tema alimentação e nutrição em HIV/AIDS não estava contemplado em materiais específicos no acervo. Conclusões: o conteúdo das fontes de informação catalogadas não contribui de forma a suprir as necessidades de informação especificas dos profissionais de Nutrição. A integração mais eficaz entre o Ministério da Saúde e as ONGs/ AIDS pode contribuir para a promoção de verdadeiros centros de informação em referência e pesquisa para os profissionais de saúde que lidam com o HIV/AIDS.

ABSTRACT

Information good nutrition represents fundamental support to the pharmacological measures that provide quality of life for people with HIV/AIDAS. The search of updated and appropriate Information is the object of great interest for nutritionists involved in offering good nutrition to the patients with HIV/AIDAS and is the essential role of NGOs/AIDS that work in this area. Objectives: to present and discuss the results of the organization's work and the identification of sources of information of STD/AIDS carried out in a NGO /AIDS. Methods: 255 bibliographic items were catalogued and classified, mostly consisting of books, catalogues, brochures, guides and manuals, specialized in STD /AIDS. Results: the materials specifically related to STD/ AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases involved 100 bibliographic items. The theme food and nutrition in HIV/AIDS was not included in the specific materials in the collection. Conclusions: the contents of the cataloged information sources do not contribute to meet the specific information needs of professionals in nutrition. The more effective integration between the Ministry of Health and NGOs / AIDS can contribute to the promotion of true centers of reference and research information to health professionals who deal with HIV / AIDS.
