RESUMO

Este estudo tem por objetivo abordar as noções de natureza e suas transformações, desde a Antiguidade até os dias atuais, bem como suas derivações para a saúde, por meio de uma revisão de literatura. Apresenta-se a noção de natureza de acordo com as diferentes épocas que marcaram nosso tempo, ou seja, a Idade Antiga, a Idade Média, a Idade Moderna e a Idade Contemporânea. A saúde da sociedade tem relação com a natureza. O avanço da ciência vem provocando consequências na natureza, induzindo o ser humano a tomar consciência da diversificação e da multiplicidade dos fenômenos. Implica uma complexidade emergente, com diferentes formas de compreensão do viver humano e sua interação com a natureza nos diferentes momentos desta sociedade. Conclui-se que a natureza, ao longo da história, tem sido concebida sob diversos pontos de vista, associados e perpassados pelo modo de vida da sociedade, das sensações, do pensamento e das ações.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to approach the notions of nature and its transformations, from Antiquity up to the current days, as well as its derivations for health through a literature review. The notion of health is presented according to the different time periods that have marked our time or, in other words, the Period of Antiquity, Middle Ages, Modernity and Contemporary Age. Health in society is related to nature. The advance of science has been provoking consequences in nature, forcing mankind to become aware of the diversification and of the multiplicity of phenomena. It implies an emergent complexity, with different forms of comprehension of human life and its interaction with nature in the different moments of this society. The conclusion is that nature, along the course of History, has been conceived under several viewpoints, associated and crossed by the way of life in society, sensations, thoughts and actions.
