La presión del pulso, marcador de riesgo de complicaciones ateroscleróticas agudas en pacientes hipertensos y no hipertensos / Heart rate, risk marker of acute atherosclerotic complications in hypertensive and non hypertensive patients

RESUMEN

Tanto la presión arterial (PA) sistólica como la presión de pulso (PP) se relacionan directamente con la aterosclerosis y el daño vascular orgánico, pero quizás sea la presión de pulso el marcador más importante de dicho daño. Identificar las complicaciones ateroscleróticas agudas y relacionar estas complicaciones con la presión del pulso en pacientes hipertensos y no hipertensos es el objetivo de este trabajo, en el que se ha realizado un estudio observacional, descriptivo y transversal, en 129 pacientes ingresados en las salas de coronario e ictus en el Hospital Enrique Cabrera del 1º de julio del 2006 al 30 de septiembre del 2006 con diagnóstico de complicación aterosclerótica aguda (cardiovascular y cerebrovascular).
