Intervención educativa sobre conocimientos del diagnóstico baciloscópico de la Tuberculosis en técnicos de laboratorio de la atención primaria / Educational intervention on knowledge of Tuberculosis bacilloscopic examination diagnosis in laboratory technicians of primary health care

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio pre-experimental (antes-después) para evaluar una Intervención educativa sobre el conocimiento del diagnóstico baciloscópico de la tuberculosis en los técnicos de laboratorio de la Atención Primaria de Salud del municipio Morón en la provincia Ciego de Ávila durante el período de Septiembre del 2008 hasta Abril del 2009. El universo de trabajo estuvo constituido por 46 personas que representan el total técnicos de laboratorio de la Atención Primaria de Salud del municipio y que cumplen los criterios de inclusión. Los técnicos obtienen conocimientos altos sobre: la recolección, transporte y conservación de la muestra y sobre la extensión de la muestra en un 91.30 respectivamente, en cuanto a la coloración de la lámina un 95.65 , atendiendo al diagnóstico de la lámina elevan sus conocimientos el 86.95 por ciento; en general adquirieron conocimientos sobre el diagnóstico baciloscópico de la tuberculosis entre alto y medio con el 78.26 por ciento y 19.26 por ciento respectivamente después de la intervención educativa, para un 95 por ciento de confiabilidad de prueba de hipótesis. Para evaluar el nivel de conocimientos y la efectividad de la intervención se utilizó el Test de comparación de medias para ambos momentos (antes y después) con un nivel de significación de ά= 0.05.

ABSTRACT

A pre-experimental (before-after) study was carried out to evaluate an educative Intervention on the knowledge of bacilloscopic examination diagnosis of tuberculosis in laboratory technicians of Primary Health Care of Morón city in Ciego de Avila province during the period of September 2008 until April 2009. The universe work was constituted by 46 technical people who represent the laboratory total of Primary Health care of the municipality and which they fulfill the inclusion criteria. The technicians obtain high knowledge on: the harvesting, transports and sample conservation and on the sample extension in 91,30 percent respectively, as to the staining glass slide95,65 percent, taking care of the diagnosis glass slide lift their knowledge 86,95 percent; generally they acquired knowledge on the bacilloscopic examination diagnosis of the tuberculosis between high and means with 78,26 percent and 19,26 percent respectively after the educative intervention, for a 95 percent of trustworthiness of hypothesis test In order to evaluate the level of knowledge and the effectiveness of the intervention it was used the comparison of average Test for both moments (before and after) with a significance level of ά = 0.05.
