Migração dentária patológica: relato de caso / Pathological tooth migration: case report

RESUMO

Este artigo objetiva relatar o caso de uma paciente adulta, apresentando má-oclusão de Classe I com diastema entre os incisivos central e lateral superior direito, e protrusão, giroversão e extrusão do incisivo central superior direito, que a paciente relatou ter ocorrido recentemente. O diagnóstico indicou a presença de migração dentária patológica, pois apresentava perda óssea na região e reabsorção radicular do incisivo central superior direito, além do mesmo se apresentar extruído e vestibularizado. O tratamento incluiu desgastes interproximais e forças leves para o fechamento do diastema. Ao final do tratamento, pode-se observar uma neoformação óssea na região e uma boa saúde periodontal. Após 2 anos e meio do final do tratamento, esses resultados ainda se mostraram estáveis.

ABSTRACT

This article objectives to report a case of an adult patient, presenting class I malocclusion with diastema between the central and the lateral right maxillary incisors, and protrusion, rotation and extrusion of the right central maxillary incisor, that patient affirmed to have been occurring recently. The diagnosis indicated the presence of pathological tooth migration, because there was a periodontal attachment loss in the region and root resorption of the right central maxillary incisor, besides it also presented extruded and proclinated. The treatment included interproximal stripping and light forces to the closure of the diastema. At the end of treatment, it could be observed an osseous neoformation in the region and a good periodontal health. After 2 years and a half from the end of treatment, these results still showed to be stable.
